A good starting point to see the ramifications of recovery management in the context of service continuity management is in a whitepaper titled Manageing Recovery written by Linda Zarate and co-authored by myself in a past life long ago. While both Linda and I were deep into ITIL back then, the paper itself did not align to ITIL because the company we worked for had a different approach to operations management.
